Sacramental Preparation Baptism: Parents should contact the rectory some months prior to the birth of their child to begin preparations for baptism. First Communion: Preparation for First Communion is done in the home with the assistance of the parish.  Parents should contact the rectory when they wish to begin this process.

Good Shepherd Chatechesis
For children ages 3 through 5 years, St. Peter's offers the Montessori-based catechisms of the Good Shepard.  This program is offered each Sunday during the 11 AM Liturgy in the rectory. It introduces children to the primary symbols of the faith in a creative hands-on environment.

Liturgy Word for Children
A Liturgy of the Word for children ages 6-11 is held on the first and third Sundays in the rectory. This program provides reflection and catechisms on the Sunday readings after which the children rejoin the community for the Eucharist.

Nursery
A nursery is provided for children ages 9 months to 3 years, each Sunday in the rectory during the 11 AM Liturgy.  Parents are encouraged to take advantage of this service for their own convenience as well as the benefit of the whole community at prayer. Likewise, we ask those who use the service to volunteer to help staff it.
